Positive Reinforcement
Fear Free
Science Base Dog Training
Using positive reinforcement with a clicker is a method that involves using a clicker to mark and reinforce desirable behaviors in our dogs. This technique relies on rewarding your dog with treats immediately after they perform a desired behavior. The click sound is used to signal to the dog that they have done something correctly and will receive a reward. With consistent practice, dogs can learn new behaviors through positive reinforcement. This method has been shown to be effective in teaching dogs new behaviors while building a strong bond between the learner (dog) and handler (you).
Our Training
At Click for Manners, we offer a variety of training programs that help dogs learn basic obedience manners and foundational skills. Our training approach focuses on positive reinforcement and fear-free techniques. Our programs include basic obedience, advanced training, and Service Dog and task training. Additionally, we offer consultations, temperament testing, group training, virtual Zoom training, private lessons, and board training to ensure that you and your dog get the most out of our services.
We specialize in multi-dog families, so bring the whole pack!

We understand that as a responsible pet owner, it's important to select the right program that makes both you and your dog happy. That's why we encourage you to book a consultation with our Primary trainer, who can help you develop a plan for creating a more harmonious relationship between you and your dog.

We embrace the philosophy of "Feed Forward"

“Use feed-forward in everything you do. Be patient and listen to people. Observe if their talk is congruent with their actions. Don’t go back to what just happened (feedback) because you cannot change the past. Try to make the next step easier for them by explaining what you want to see in small steps.
